April 2023 Shipping Update
What are the details?
Our per-box shipping will increase from $4.00 to $6.00 on 4/24/2023. Everyone will see the updated shipping charges at their next renewal on and after that date. Any boxes that you have already paid for will not incur this new cost.
Can I avoid the new shipping charges somehow?
Yes! Here are your options.
The new shipping charges won't take effect until 4/24/2023, you can lock in the lower shipping price by pre-paying for more Bitsboxes before then. This would mean switching to a longer subscription term, which is more money upfront, but cheaper in the long run. If you'd like to do this, please contact our Customer Service team at help@bitsbox.com, and we'll help.
Alternatively, you can purchase our one-time products (full year, 2 years, or complete 3 years) at once. These products are a one-time shipment. We know that kiddos love getting mail and that receiving a monthly shipment is fun. This might not be the best option for kiddos who are motivated to keep learning by receiving new materials every month, but it would reduce the cost. Why exactly are you doing this?
It's gotten more expensive to make and ship our products over the years and we want to maintain the high quality of our product.
Most of what we produce is printed on paper or cardboard, and the price of both continues to rise. We have moved production of our materials to US-based companies. Domestic production is more expensive but it is important to us that we support our local businesses. Our printers are right next door in Golden, Colorado!
Shipping costs continue to increase. We work hard to keep those costs down and will continue to do so for our customers. This change in shipping cost is to help maintain this quality and to make up for the increased shipping costs we incur.
